A few days back I was organizing my jewellery holder and wasn't really surprised when I found out that I actually have more crafted ones than pieces that I purchased. I personally don't like to spend too much money on these little accessories, because they can get lost easily and since the trends change so fast, I don't think my budget could stay tuned for them. Last, but not least a self-crafted item can really add personality or a fun look to any outfits and mixing-and-matching also gets more exciting with them - which is of course one of my favourite trends this season.
Now I'm showing you some of my current favs and ways I wore them.
OK, I tried it, but really couldn't wait to show you my top favourites. Every piece is self-made, I only used some old bangles to create the two ones in the middle on top. The rainbow bracelet is made by using all the threads I got from my Granny and I got some beads from the craft store for the pearl bracelet. I can't tell how much I love these together, the different materials make such an amazing job together.
This is a similar creation using the same bracelets I've shown before, but paired with different bangles I got from C&A.
Again, a pink arm-candy, but I think these bangles are the best to show my heart bracelet with. The beads are from the same craft store I meantioned before and even though the detailing on them look a little bit 'wedding-like', I think we can pull them off by keeping everything simple, fun and casual.
Yay, something that's not pink. I'm improving! The Burger-Kitty necklace (that I'm wearing as a bracelet) is made of clay. No, not polymer clay, but children clay. :D Know it sounds lame, but Super Clay is actually a really amazing product for those, who doesn't want to buy professional stuff, but would like to try out modelling, improve their skills and not messing up with really expensive polymer clay. It can be bought in a package so you get more colours at the same time and it's really inexpensive. I made a lot of other charms, but these two are the ones that are worth showing. The two strawberry bracelets are really old pieces, but they are so cute and childish, that I can't not love them. :) Beads for the third bracelet are also from my local craft store.
Multiple braid-pearl bracelet for easier usage. Nothing interesting, but it's really useful that I don'r have to deal with more bracelets to create an effect with different textures and materials.
Now that you know how much I love bracelets, here is my super-duper adorable teddy bear long chain necklace. Probably no one will believe me (except my friend who got me it) that this little bear was on a key ring before, but I thought it was too cute to only hang on my keys so I used the long chain of my Oasap vintage rosy necklace and Voilá! :)
Do you like creating your own jewellery by using things you find at home or do you rather purchase them?
